do you have manual trim indictors or electric gauges? I have the electric and they are not very accurate...use feel mostly and visually look back at prop wash. My 32 does not hop but will chine a bit when light and running WOT to get top MPH when over trimmed like he said...my hull has a pad and if I remember right yours doesn't?...I do have the "wings"...not sure on why they are on there, I asked about them a long time ago and was told to leave them on but no real explanation as to why. I personally think they drag a bit, maybe not enough to hamper top end but they shoot a little water up through the holes that are in them.

I think the "wing tips" are on there to keep the rear end from 'being so slippery' when turning. (Assisting in not letting the boat spin out. Step bottom boats MUST keep the transom planted in turns, and that wing tip is acting as a rudder when the boat is leaned over as such when turning.)

My buddy had a 32SS, and I always got a kick out of the effect as when a couple of boats were heading down the lake, you could always tell which one as him as it had the two water sprays shooting up, akin to a pair of Yamaha PWC.

Hey craig, any pics of the "wings"? I did notice some threaded holes under the pad..... maybe the wings are bolted to the bottom? Thanks! T

The "wing tips" are on the trim tabs, outer edge.

Sunsation actually recommends removing the "wings" from your tabs. This was something we tried out for a short time and it ends up putting drag on the boat and not really beneficial. Will not hurt performance to remove them. They are bolted to the tabs.

I have never removed mine. easy to do though. the fact that the water shoots up through the holes is why a figured they created drag...and you are correct sydwayz LOL deff can see that from a distance
