5” below the bottom is getting there but isn’t overly aggressive. I’d definitely be trying some 5 blade props, I would think a good 5 blade should plane out no problem.

Thanks for the response. That’s kind of how I felt about prop shaft depth, but I know every hull is different. I’m having trouble finding much information on these hulls and x dimension. I did talk to Brett and he said he could play with props but I know I’m teetering on the edge. I liked the performance of the props with stock drive height, but would like to squeeze the last bit out. Do you think the 5 blades would cancel any speed gains from the shorties? What prop and pitch would be a good starting point?

Call Sunsation factory and talk to Joe or Wayne (owners). They will know what will and won't work before you buy any more parts.......nobody likes to experiment with setups and spending money to do it!
