Default Towing Question

How many of you tried towing with the factory cockpit cover on?? The one that covers the front fairing and snaps around the sides below the rub rail.

I don't usually tow with it on, but want to know if it's ok for those raining day trips to and from Vaca.
I have the Painted fairing on mine, and want to know if it would chaffe or scratch the paint?????
Thanks

I've towed from near Wilmington, DE to Va. Beach (5.5 hrs) and multiple trips to Kerr Reservoir in central southern Va. (6.5 hrs roundtrip) with no ill-effects whatsoever. My fairing is blue. I set my poles to where they are both tight and not so much as a snap has come undone and no chafing of the fairing. One trip was in the rain and it done well there too....

Thanks for the reply Reckless, I wasn't planning on using the poles, but now I will.
