Re: Washington, NC Results ????
Robert, I'm not trying to rip on you guys... I'm just trying to understand how all of these lap speed could be so wierd. Too many things aren't making sense.
I'll call you shortly, I was in the garage late last night doing the brakes on my truck.
Thanks,
Brian

Cool, looks like our P-4 boat took 1st place in P-3 since the acurate lap speeds and times have us beating all the boats in that class also
Everybody knows that there was a scoring problem, since you (SBI) could not figure out why, you (SBI) deem them to be accurate?? unbelieveable

Lee,
I'm sure SBI would let u see the numbers and how it is done and the time it takes to do before u make judgment... The ruling seems to be a fair one , all seem to be happy but we still have to be critical humm.....Thats really helping and supporting your orginazation.

Frank, I've seen the numbers, and talked to Deana in depth about them. Still can't say I agree with them, but she's been over them 5 times and says everything looks right. They've done this before (scoring that is - like for 20 years), so I have to take their word on accuracy.
I don't want to speak for Lee, but from my perspective I know what kind of race we ran. We got a good start, came out of turns 1 and 2 smelling like a rose, and watched our speeds closely for the rest of the race. We were WELL UNDER the top speed calculated by the tech inspectors, and took a much wider line around the course rather than a pin-to-pin line. As it turns out, the course isn't measured pin-to-pin, anyway, just a running lap during pre-race.
We (Lee and I) are just having a hard time swallowing the results. Most who have raced with me know that I'm the first to congratulate someone who's beaten me. Come by my pit after the race and I'll buy you a beer. Heck, I've bought Herbott more beers than I care to count, and that's not always an easy thing to do. Sorry Keith
But when I'm beaten by something that I have no control over, it irks me. Those Fountain trophys were sweet, and I wanted one.
But F-it. The decision's been made, and nothing else can be done about it. Just move on and hope the next race works out better.
See everyone soon, I hope.

Brian,
I'll see u in Panama and I'll make u up on that beer.
All I was tiring to say is if we have a problem call SBI and work it out. If we are all positive we can make a difference, and make it work. Offshore racing will only be as good as we the racers make it.
