Good luck Trent and Scott ,The P-5 Guys are truely real racers to accept you guys in thier class, I respect that alot, if you need any thing let Robert and I know.We will give you anything you need.I guess the F-1 class will be a easy win for someone.

In time...my current hull is too heavy to be competitive with a 500 EFI. Although, I understand Challenger is getting 90+ mph on the "improved" DDC-28 hull with a 600 SCi...and they're still dialing in the boat.

I am going to talk to SBI regarding boat length. I have the same hull as TGOR but canopied, my deck sweeps back over the drive though giving the boat an overall of 29'2".
As Trent and I discussed about his boat, do the prop calc, run a legal set-up (max RPM, drive ratio, prop), and come race in P5. If you do have the same hull as ours, you should be good:
1.8. Hull and Deck Measurement Procedure
1.8.1. All race boats shall be measured to obtain a designated length on the centerline of the hull between the perpendiculars at the extreme bow and stern. All measurements will be taken while the boat is ashore. The keel line shall be level amidships. The stern shall be defined as the transom, joining the extremities of the hull on which the outboard motor or driveline is attached. Any extending parts, rub-rails, fenders, stabilizing and trim tabs, rudders or attached molded platforms are not to be included. Unless otherwise provided there is no length tolerance allowed in any class.
So your length should not include where your deck is swept back past the transom.
