Key West can be expensive, it's worth it!

One problem with your calculations, you neglected to account for a bar tab. That may very well exceed your lodging expenses.

Don't forget about the scooter rental.

You can also check into flights into Miami and Ft Lauderdale and then drive down. If you haven't done the drive before it's nice.

The least we can do as racers is put up a little something to help us get togehter....

I have a great time weather racing in OPA or SBI/APBA...everone is great and we have a great time...the racer on both side will do anything to help each other out...

We have come a long way this year..with some great race sites and races....with a lot of racers cross racing....

We are all getting a tast of what it could be like again...

Steve...congrats on your KILO....and good luck the rest of the year...will see you guys soon....
If you do get that figure, let us know. I am interested in helping. I think you will find that many of us will help.

It is awesome without a doubt. I was hoping to run my boat down haven't ever waited this long to book before so got better deals.

If you want to put me up and give me some free T's I promise I will wear them out every place I go every waking, stumbling moment!!!
Your a funny man...anywere you stumble.....

Check into the codos at truman. I have seen them for $1200 for the week.

Personally, I hope that other options are available. It would be just too expensive and take too much travel to go to KW. It would be 3 days each way hauling a boat plus $1500-1800 in gas. Hotel $1500 -2000. Because of school, I would need 3 round trip plane tickets to compensate for the extended travel time $2500. Then SBI fees and boat expenses. Based on all that I think Chattanooga or Destin will be our "Worlds" for 07.

Carrie,
You have the right idea, and KW in November is as much fun as a performance/race boat addict can have. Look us up when you get there. We will need beer, wine, rum and Red Bull. Grey Goose, tequila and Advil.

We're in! I just booked a home large enough to house my team as well as our sponsors.

Think about it: multiply the number of people in your party, times the number of nights staying there, times (very conservatively) a $175-200 hotel room. These numbers add up quick, and for a few grand you can all have a private home with a pool, kitchen, lots of bathrooms, and still be close enough to stagger home from Duval.

Take a look at some of these property management companies:

http://www.fkren.com/truman/weeklyrentals.cfm
http://www.historichideaways.com

The Konrad / Fountain of Youth Team is looking forward to doing it again this year!

Cheers,
Brian
