I believe most magazines sell advertisement. May be Geico,JBS and Aqua Mania could buy a full page ad and get more exposure. Please dont take this as a joke but as a possible way to bring your class to more eye's. With what you guys have invested whats a few more bucks to advertise yourself. I also think if you want more press that you have to write your own article and e-mail them with maybe some of your own pics. Just a couple of suggestions.

Unfortunately in motorsports, media coverage is not "if you build it, they will come". You need to go get it. This applies to
many forms of racing, not just offshore. I have been involved in Grand Am Rolex Road Racing for some time and the coverage of that professional sport is less than spectacular.
You need to hire or get a volunteer to be a full time PR person to get newspapers, tv, radio interested. They won't come after someone just because the ran well or have great looking equipment. There needs to be an angle or previous contact to get their attention.
Make your own attention, have someone to constantly update
your website, if you have one, each day at each event. Your fans can then check daily for updates. If you don't have
a website, get one. It is the best way to communicate with your fans.

There is allot of good advice starting to come out in this thread and JBS already has a huge head start on 99% teams out there. Your Website is excellent and you have professional videos made for entertainment. Have one made for 30 & 60 second clips to send to the media prior going to the race venue. They will know you before you go. Align with a local charity and do more than just put on the party. Take a lead role in a racing organization or at least your class. The press wants to talk to those types of teams. Finally remember you are COMPETING for the media's time and resources not only with other forms of racing but the other teams themselves. Bud, Geico, Reliable, JD Byrider and Team Wahoo () have it going on with HUGE pockets and name recognition. Well maybe not Wahoo yet.

I don't get it? I thought you would have thicker skin. Do you race from the thrill or the adulation?

You have the most beautiful boat and all the bells and whistles. I am surprised to see what you have written. It hurts to read it. You have made it easy to poke at.

Hire a promo person if you want to see your picture in the paper.

Get up, get ready and race.

If it hurts to read- just imagine how much it hurts to do all Ive done in the hopes of getting a little exposure to attract a sponsor so I can continue to do it.

Then you really need to hire a PR firm. Most pro motorsports teams have a PR firm to get them the exposure.

A kick ass truck won't get you in the news. It is cool,
but it doesn't buy publicity.

Jeff, my "sister" and I met you on sun or monday night when you stopped on Duval Street to let us hop in the baddest truck around. Don't think that your dedication to the fans went unnoticed. Thanks for the ride around KW.
