Amsoil was runnin hard up front, then it looked like they missed a turn. from the beach it was hard to see all the way down at the end of the straight in the gulf, but seemed like they had to do a quick 180

STHL WON SCL? That boat looks like a ****in 46 Skater My GOD! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tzrider 07-04-2010 08:35 PM

yes amsoil spun and had to go back to get the turn buoy. Stihl won and then were later DQ'd because their herrings were too thin. Mind you these were untouched props out of the box and were in no way the factor in Stihl winning. Amsoil was leading until they spun on the last lap......Politics????

if they measure too thin, there too thin. all the measurements are right in the rule book.

sounds like someone was counting on NOT having to go thru TECH inspection.

weather they were the factor in winning or not we'll never know, since they we're illegal. and if you don't think that thinned props matter, your being nieve. i doubt this is the first time someone tried that move.

Dave
Trust me they were counting on going through tech. They were not counting on a brand new set of Herrings that just arrived to be "out of spec"

I know very well that thinned props make a difference but your inference that " they tried that move" is out of line.

As an example in Most forms of Motorsports if a vehicle leaves the course or "cuts " the course there is no penalty as long as the incident did not further their position. Why then if this infraction had no impact on the final finish position should they be DQ'd????
