Thats why they moved it up to P4, I would amagine P5 would be open to use again if the boat count was there. Every body talks about empty titles and not racing anyone. Now with the P5 boats and a few of the P4 boats that were singles we should have a great start to build a strong class.

Wow, I would have to try to race a 40 ft state of the art vector or skater v bottom with 725 hp a side. At 32 feet my skater would be the smallest in the class and have the least power by far. I can't belive these 1200 to 1500 hp v bottoms only run 105mph. Maybe I should just poker run the damn thing...LOL..Thanks guy's...Micheal...

SBI has never had a P6 class. Over the yrs it seems the boat have progressed and out grown the slower speeds.

I think if you really look at it there are not any 60-75 mph boats. This has always been an issue, you had 26-28 boats with 700 HP motors proped down to run those speed but they really were never 70mph boats. Because u prop down doesnt mean thats the class you belong in.
Example: Gino built an awesome new boat last yr with an Ilmor motor (625) and the boat can run speed in excess of 90MPH , but is still a Class 5 boat in OPA. I'm not sure if he is still running but at one time Tyler built a class 6 boat with about 3000 hp (just kidding but it was big) and ran Class 6 . Yes he ran his numbers and propped down . RumRunners is a P5 boat with some big Horse power but again props P5 . Chicked is an old F1 boat with a strong HP500 that ran 85 in its day. I can go on and on, not sure if these are entry boats. With todays hull design and choice of motor I think its almost impossible to run the lower speed, these guys work alot harder to slow the boats down then the spec guys do to go faster.
