Randy you are and have been forever SVL's biggest problem. The class was happy until you bought a SVL you always move the ball and manipulate. You have caused Chaos for 10 years. If you really want to regulate the class and stop hiding behind bread loaf ties (Mercury Seals). Implement data acquisition like above. You know I ran it in Jupiter last year and Bob Owen went over it post race. We have data since 2004 that anyone can see. If you do not want data/video in your boat you must be hiding something!

That's kool stuff....can see right where the rev limiter is...I assume data logger has GPS tied into it..I run a pro logger on my turbo snowmobiles in the past...I think its a good idea...but then there's the question if someone nails the setup and is running say 93-94(example) but rev limiter is where it should be, will it be assumed he's cheating and end up penalized? Just thinking out loud...tuff class to regulate. As much as I'd love to get into a SVL I think I'll stick with the ol GPS bracket racing...haha

Steve you just cant help yourself. What does this have to be with me or the thread? I like and think the data logger is a great tool. Its the same 3 SBI people that like throwing me under the bus. Just keep doing what your doing down there it seems to be working good for the 3 of you. The group up north ALL have called me to back what we are doing and like it the way we have it. NO ONE wants any changes. You and some others may not like it and that's ok. At this point it doesn't matter. The SVL class is so far apart from the north vs the south boats that they cant race together any more. Im sure its all my fault in your opinion and im ok with that. You had your shot at it with APBA and you blew it plane and simple it went away. Im sure you blame everyone else but yourself but in the end you were the ones running it so there should only be blame on youself. STOP trying to pass your failures on others. It make you look like a child.
Love your buddy Randy

Actually Randy it is you who cannot help yourself. I have raced since 1991 and you consistantantly to me have been the guy who always works the system the hardest. In the APBA days. Did you ever send your engine in for verification and sealing? Not that the records show. The seals are everywhere and with 3D printing thousands of other people can make you a set fast with any numbers you like on them. Having a set of seals with a number that matches what Mercury did is not a high level of integrity. (i do think Bob O and staff are good inpectors doing a good job) You have a few guys up there who fall for your dumb act (and they probably play it straight also). So here is the challenge: you have my data and video. If you are sqaure you do the same. Saying because you have a seal that is the equivalant of a bread bag wrap makes you legal is laughable. You are always part of the problem and never part of the solution. You constant adversion to any form of tech besides a seal is pretty silly when seals have been beat repeatedly over the last decade. What made APBA stop Randy was quite simply when people like yourself took a active role in chasing off a sponsor like GM. Clearly the product is very damaged when the racers attack the sponsors. There is no sense building or investing in a damaged product base. As you saw the same damaged mentality went with OSS and that cost the racer's dearly and had your fingerprints all over it. As I recall you attacked OPA reguarly before OSS's collapse under it's own weight. If you would like to compare business success levels we can have conversation at any time. Both Smitty and JC can tell you running a sanctioning body is very hard and the financials rewards are not what the racer's think. Having someone always attacking and tearing it down just makes it harder.
So please tell us all again why you wont support running a data logger?
Steve
I forgot the reason the classes are "so far apart" is that you forgot to notify 3 paid registered teams that you were having conference call to vote on changing the rules.

I have no problem running or supporting a data logger rule if that is what the others want to do. You don't have to sell me. Why doesn't your own group support them? I guess me racing since 1998 in some of the most competitive class for my budget and starting in over 200 starts and bringing multiple boats to some events that I must be the problem. What have you done lately than just show at 2-3 races a year only when its convenient for you. Racers like you that cant be counted on is the problem. Lets just agree that we don't like each other and stop the attacks.
