A young guy did one of the first Y2k's with twin Merc 300s a few years back. I htought he told me he got 85 out of it, but I have no other details, whether it was really dialed in or not. Never saw a pic either. He used to work for Sport BOat Sales on the Nautical Mile on the south shore.

I believe that boat had a pair of 2.5's on the back. I thought it was closer to 90 mph also with race brains

94 MPH so far here. Trying to sqeeze a few more with a prop change.
