Gary, the season has been vary good!
Knock on wood, no mechanical issue this year, so far anyway...

Hey Crazy George,
I'm glad to hear your coming! Let's just hope this hurricane stays away.
One of the Donzi guys from my marina told me your machine is up for sale.
Talk to you next Saturday...

This from Rich Owen:

"CT River Run Canceled
After much discussion we have decided to cancel this years run . We're sorry to have to do this . It will not be rescheduled for this year .

The river won't crest until Thursday night so we will not have a beach to go to therefore no pizza . There are still trees in the river . I think they're still pulling trees of of the docks at the beach .
So the "Official Event" is off .

That being said ;
The river below Middletown clears out much faster so some of the guys (diehards) say they are going to launch at Haddam Meadows and hang out at the ramp anyway . I wouldn't use your "favorite" prop . You are welcome to join them . There will be a grill so bring some burgers or dogs if you'd like .

If anybody is still staying in a hotel and wants to get together for dinner on Friday evening please let me know .

Sorry Guys ,
Rich Owen"

Sad News Indeed...

I still do plan to be on The river this weekend for a few hours both days. Let me know if anyone wants to join Saturday or Sunday...

Yes, Gary it sucks that mother nature has not been vary nice lately. I have not taken my boat out since October 4th. The CT river has been a complete mess...
I'am not going to complain too much though, we only lost about 2 weeks at the end of a Beautiful Summer...

However, there is a sizable group of "Die-hards" that are meeting this Saturday anyway. It may not be an 80+mile venture with 90 boats like last year, but it would seem like 10 to 20 maybe more will meet at the same time same place...
