Re: Picked up 24 over the weekend
T-Islands,
I am not that far from you actually. My family has a place up in Morristown (about 9 miles outside of Ogdensburg) Just outside the start of the islands by Brockville. That is where I keep the boat. I like to run down to Clayton and such, and my other boat was just a little too slow to make the trips worth it and would turn into whole day trips. Where abouts are you located? Your boat came out great by the way. I can't believe how well it runs with that 496. I would definately be interested in the prop...pm me the details.

Here is a shot of that beautiful engine 499HP/454...
The new 375HP/496mag makes more like 390HP and nearly 500ftlbs of torque. That is not too far from my 415HP/502 that really only makes about 400HP.
The "light weight hull" is about 200lbs lighter; FX10 should be able to give us the detail...

Cuposter,
Great to hear there will be another SB on the river next year. I am located about a 1/2 mile up river from the TI Bridge, I can see Chalks and Foxys restaurant from my dock and Rock Island light house from the point. Some charts show my place as Helena Island or the Orient group.
Your boat looks great; you will love the 24, runs great on the river.
I'll get you some details on the prop.

Re: Picked up 24 over the weekend
Man the board knows more than I do about my own boat....Thanks for the pic Pat! Pretty sure that my hull is NOT the lightweight layup as it weighs in at 4400 on the tailer and about 3500 by itself, but was curious as to what is involved in that layup (different materials, no finished cuddy, etc). T-Islands I know right around where your place is, Usually stick to the U.S. and Canadian channels once I get down your way but I will have have to look up exactly where you are on the gps when I am down past The Bay next time.

I wondered how long you were going to take to come out with the news of your new purchase!
I am really glad to see it go to someone who will take care of it and really like the boat. I knew right away when you left your shoes on the dock during the ride and pulled out a towel to wipe it down after the run that it was going to a good home. It was nice to meet you and work with during the purchase.
Get the 26p. 4 blade as I mentioned to you.
I loved the boat and I am actually sad to see it go. My wife on the other hand got spoiled with the previous 31 foot boat we had and my thoughts were to go back up in size is why I originally listed it. Unfortunately the company that I work for filed bankruptcy and my future is now uncertain so I have to wait and see what will happen.
I hope you enjoy the boat for many years to come.
Cordell

Ha, yeah finally decided to let the cat out of the bage...Think I JUST got rested up from the drive this past weekend. Thanks again Cordell for everything. I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything you did. You really are a stand up guy and great to work with. You made me feel very comfortable about the purchase even with it being long distance. I really hope that everything works out and keep in touch.
