Default Picked up 24 over the weekend

Drove out to Ohio to pick up this 1996 24 from board member cgarrett. Cordell is a great guy and took really good care of the boat (as did all previous owners). Boat is extremly clean and runs VERY hard. Can anyone clue me in as to how many 24's were made in '96 before switching over to the step bottom. Is this the only one?

Have seen this boat go up for sale since it was back in NY and knew this time I had to have it.

Yeah I am guilty of lurking. Wanted to make sure that these boats were really everything that I had heard since you don't see too many of them in my area...and I gotta say I am very impressed. Sort of a tease though after a test drive when picking it up, it was straight up to Northern NY for winterization and storage....that is frost you see on the cover. The night before up there it had dropped below 30 degrees up there. I really wanted a boat that just murders anything from 1-3 ft chop and that I could still kick some of the twin big block guys around with and that wasn't much bigger than my current ride.

Congrats! That's a nice boat. I don't know about the straight V but the step hull likes a 4 blade prop MUCH better.

Congratulation!!!!
I too almost bought your boat a few years back from the original owner Gary in Albany, NY. He'll be happy to hear she's back in the area.
I don't know how many 24' were built in 96 but my 97 also has the straight V bottom. 1998 the year Dave's boat was built, was the first year of the step bottom.
If you have questions we are all happy to talk boats. We've got a 5 months before we'll be back on the water here in the north land...
Good Luck with her and welcome to the Superboat crew!!!

Thanks guys....There really isn't anything I have to do to the boat..maybe a stereo and another battery once the stereo goes in and that is it. Really can't wait to see what this boat can do....dunno if I will ever be able to muster up the courage to match Gary's 82-84 on gps when he had it but I would be pretty happy with 80. Will need some seat time before really pushing it. Still can't get over how hard this boat runs. Also was looking for Superboat decal (same as the red/white/blue one on the boat) to put on the window of the truck...anyone know where to get one, or have one made. Thanks
