Here goes....
I finally got the cost est. of the 2 small blocks today and the cost of the drives... also I get a call about a blown big block for way less then what it should cost. After about 30 min. of cheering and crying I have decided to nix the twin plan and go with one big ass motor. The urge to be different was blinding me to the fact that the costs were getting too high for my tastes. So I'm coming back to reality and a more normal approach. I know you all are disapointed in me but in my defense it is one hell of a deal!!! This Y2K will still be the fastest to date if all goes as planned.
So in closing: Anyone have a SSM 3a lying around they need to get rid of?

Thanks Lightspeed.. I appreciate it
Blown Big Block so its going to be fast... Not sure how fast yet but enough power to need something more stout then a standard XR drive.

Anyone run a SSM drive and which one? I know they are rated @ 750hp but Most of the 3a I have seen were behind 1000hp + motors already? Other viable choices being Imco, or Max Machine. I got 6 weeks to figure this out LOL

The Zuperboat has a Speedy; get in touch with Mike.
A drive that uses Bravo style props would be the way to go.
You will need a drive with a tranny to handle 1000HP.

Rob Buy The Time You Build A Good Motor And I Mean A Good Motor Put All The Marinizing Parts And Headers Then A Good Gimbel Drive And Trans Its Gotta Be 50 To 55 K Talk To Coenhead And Get The New 700 Package With The New Drive Plus You Get That Warranty Card Any Engine Builder You Use Is Not Goin To Give You A Year Warranty They Will Give You Some Kind Of BS Excuse To Not Warranty The Motor. And I Dont Think It Would Be Too Much More For The Twin Set Up 7500 Each XR 3500Each Gimbel And 15000 For Each Small Block ////I Would Think Real Hard About This I Talked To My Freind About The #3a He Sold It

What tranny? What expected speeds?
