Small blocks are the way to go for a twin engine 30' Supper.

Side by side would make the engines a real PIA to work on.
I think with the stagger they won't be that tight.

The post was that there would be no cockpit room w a bbc, and I replied that it's 2"s longer.
Side by side, no argument that it would be tight, but a single 750 hp 572 or 598 motor is a pretty good way to go, unless you are going to put blowers on the small blocks. But there is no stagger in a 30' boat so the single BBC is going to have better wt dist then a pair of 6.2s

My rationale for not using one huge ass BBC was that the drive had to a #6... too much money, too much weight, and too much for props.

Because the BB's are wider you run into other problems with placement that would force the motors farther forward... to the point that the back seat has no leg room vs. the SB set up where there should still be enough to be confortable.
