Zuperboat had the same thoughts as you last year.
I believe he and JCap are thinking they would rather an extra hour in a warm truck sipping a coffee vs. battling through 3-4 footers in 40s temps.
Have a safe trip, and we'll see you on our side around 9am. The warm sun and calm water of the river will help dry you out...

For the guys coming across the sound, let's hope it lays down for you by morning, because it's going to kick up something fierce this afternoon and tonight...
Titan,
If you can do Greenport to Old Saybrook in 15 minutes, that would have to be some sort of a record. Even the triple digit 40 footers took a bit longer than that during the July Poker Run...
The best I have done crossing the Sound is just under 12min from the light house at Orient to the light house at the break water in Old Saybrook...
Anyway, eveyone please have a safe trip whether you're coming by land or by sea...
I'll be at the ramp under I-95 by 8:30...

Well guys it was a lot of fun today. I had one of the best times all summer today. The river had some really nice scenery. Too bad all you Superboaters from Long Island did not brave treacherous sound. Going up the Activator and Myself braved 3 to 4 ft seas. But on the way home man did it Kick Up. There was easily 8 footers going home with an Occasional 10 footer. Next time Maybe you guys will come out and play in the Big Boy Waters...........

Had a great time as well. It was great running with you guys up the river.
Titan and JC, you guys should have stuck around. I guess you didnt, knowing the sea build in the sound. We were out last weekend and the weather was the same. BIG seas in the sound. It was a great turn out and was a blast. These guys with the little boats are crazy!!!!! It was great to meet and see everyone. Here are the pics I took.
