I'll meet you guys at the boat launch under the I-95 bridge in Old Saybrook and guide you north to Haddam Meadows if you'd like.

Sounds like a plan. I probably will not go all the way up to HArtford. But I do hope it is a good day. The fall foliage should be good then too. Kendall can't wait to celebrate your 40th with you on the water. We will tip a few for the occasion...

I'd like to join in. I'll probably only run up to Middletown or Cromwell. I wouldn't be too big of a boat, would I???? I know this run is directed towards river rockets but since I live in the area.

100 Gallons Is Not Alot Of Fuel When You Can Only Get To Use 85 Gallons Of It. Full Is Never Full And Always Some Gas Left In The Tank When Its Empty. I Want To Do The Hole Run Without Having To Worrie About Fuel Issues. I Dont Think You Can Get 93 On The River. Im Trailering Up To Haddem Early Am And Not Going To Worrie About Time To Get Back On The Trailer. Its Getting Dark At 7 These Days. Remember I Trailered This Boat From Texas So The River Being Only 3 Hours Is Like Going For Milk. Anybody Want To Run Up Together. Leaving Babylon At 5am

Hi Dan,
In last years "None River Run" (Do to the floods) I had the largest boat at 24' and one of only 2 I/Os in the fleet of about 20 boats.
At the 2004 CT River Run there were (3) 30' Superboats and a number of other boats in the 26'-29' range. About 80% of the 90 boats were 22' or less outboard powered rockets though.
IMO, it should not matter so long as you respect the little guys.
Rich Owen over at Scream & Fly organizes the run.
I don't believe he would discriminate against your 36' Cig.
Please be sure to register with him though...

Hey Zup,
In 2004, Jcap ran his supercharged 30' from the ramp in Old Saybrook to Hartford and back no problem.
That is 75-80miles round trip. I think you can get 1mile per gal. No?
I guess what I'm saying is that if you launch in Old Saybrook you get to see another 10-12miles, and IMO, the nicest 10-12miles, of the river.
The party does start at Haddam Meadows with a look at everyones hardware though.
