I don't see the 700sci NTX priced on BAM's web page but I would guess somewhere in the 90K range.
IMHO the only Merc racing package that is not priced totally out of line is the 525EFI Bravo XR.
List price for the 425HP/496HO Bravo X is around 30K and the 525EFI Bravo XR is around 46K.
Now we know that JC does not charge full list with a Superboat build so IMO the 525EFI is a reasonable upgrade.
For a Merc Racing package more than the 525EFI, you had better have deep pockets...
Now we have gotten a little off topic.
So we are comparing:
2004 30' Super with a Whipple 496HO Bravo XR for 90K.
2007 30' Super with a MGD 800 and Konrad for 129K.
2007 30' Super with Merc 525EFI Bravo XR for 90K.
2006 27'/29' Krip with JC 800 and Imco for ?? 75K.
Now at this stage of my life, I'm not in the position to buy any of these boats, but that hasn't stopped me from speaking up.
From these, I'd choose the 2007 30' Super with the Merc Racing 525EFI Bravo XR.

Anyone looking for a used Y2K at a resonable price will have to check with JC for an actual price of a New Y2K - Just got mine nicely rigged with the 525merc and paid well over a hundred...Materials and rigging is extremly expensive these days and other manufacturers are not as resonably priced as he is... Opening offer of $90K is high but chances are the serious buyer with cash on hand will not pay that...

It is my understanding that H2O will sell his boat for 90K though. He has offered it up for sale in another thread.

out of all the above mentioned this one seems like the deal. i never buy new boats. buy them 1,2,3 years old and let the original buyer take the hit...if a new 07-08 superboat with a 525 and an xr is $90+ ?...as soon as its registered ya lost $20k plus so why not save the $20k ...just my opinion

Does the 525/XR come with a 5 year warrenty. If not then Y buy MERC. I dont think H2O will sell for 90k if he just spent 110K ? Im just guessing on price. Thats a 20k hit ! If he takes 40 rides that $500 a ride plus fuel and insurance. So every time you go out its going to cost you $600 !! Must be nice

although there are a few nice boats out there...bottom line now is which one does the potential buyer consider to be "A DEAL"

A "deal" needs only be a deal in the mind of the man with the money. Any other "opinion" is just that, an opinion.
I've known Cary for many years, talked to him often when he was building his boat, he did a lot of researching to come up with what he felt was a good running and reliable package. He has added a lot of little things to create the overall package he now has. I've been out in the boat, and run with him a lot, and I'm impressed with what he has.
Cary is the only one who knows exactly what costs were involved in his build, and I'm sure that factors into his asking price. His boat, Superboat for that matter, is unique, and because of that it's somewhat difficult to hone in on a true value. Were it a Fountain, just for example, it would be much easier, just because there are so many of them out there and they constantly turn over.
Cary's boat will catch the eye of someone, an individual looking for something as unique as Cary was when he put this package together. That individual and Cary will determine the real value of this boat. That individual will get one of the most cared for boats on the market today.
