ChristianGott 09-26-2007 07:18 PM

hey pat, danny(ken!)..guys..

c

Pat McPherson 09-26-2007 10:18 PM

I'll likely be starting in Chester.
It will depend if my boat is home or at the marina.
I'm sure there with be lots of boats starting in Old Saybrook.

Are you planning on going from Greenport again?

Pure Energy 09-27-2007 11:56 AM

Yes

Titan 09-28-2007 07:00 AM

Lets hook up again. I don't have a boat running but would like to go. I will see if the Activator boys want to go also..

Pat McPherson 10-09-2007 08:50 PM

Stopped by the marina today and hooked up the boat.
Brought her to the gas pump and fuel up before dragging her home. It's time to do a little maintainance and give her a bath before the last few rides of the season.
So how many Supers will be at the CT River Run?
I'm sure Superbash will bring his 24' along with some fellow LI 21's.
SB30 and PE will hopefully make it with their Y2Ks.
Any news on Jcap? I'm hoping no news is good news...

sb30 10-10-2007 06:00 AM

I,ll be there Pat

Looking forward to it!!!!

SB30

prosno 10-10-2007 06:45 AM

I'll be puttin her in the drink in saybrook, hope to meet a few of ya.

TeamSaris 10-10-2007 03:08 PM

We plan on making it,

ChristianGott 10-10-2007 06:23 PM

we'll be there!
it's going to be my wife's first, and my buddy's second...wish she saw bridgeport the other week...between the two events....you'd have to be a bit "off" to not get hooked on the sport...
everyone remember to email rich owen through screamnfly if you're staying for pizza..the proceeds go to charity....
see y'all sat. at the ramp in OSB...9:30?
c

prosno...i live just over the hill from archie moore's, in northford...i'll be going down
rt 22 (off of 150) to 80 to 95 if you want to meet up..there's a sunoco in northford centre for good gas..

Pat McPherson 10-10-2007 07:10 PM

It's great to hear we'll have a good number of OSOers for the run.
Chris, I believe the run starts at 9:45-10:00am from Haddam Meadows.
For those launching from Old Saybrook, I'd recommend being on the water by 9:00am the latest. It's a 30-40 min ride to Haddam Meadow from Old Saybrook.
Personally, I'll be launching from our marina in Chester at 9-9:15am. If I get on the water early enough, I'll come south some to meet the group coming north from Old Saybrook.
If not I'll be looking for you all by the Castle and Ferry crossing.

ChristianGott 10-11-2007 06:42 PM

hey pat...
is it easier to just drive to chester?
is that midway marina? with the ramp and big white building?
if so, that's where ken + dan used to keep the sutphen...
if not..can you get us in there for the run?
c

Pat McPherson 10-11-2007 09:34 PM

Hi Chris,
If you're thinking Midway Marina in Haddam, you may as well just go to Haddam Meadows.
The marina in Chester I keep my boat at does not have the best ramp, but the marina right next door has a great ramp,
Hays Haven.
If anyone would rather launch in Chester, I'll post the directions.

prosno 10-12-2007 03:19 AM

Well guys looks like I wont be making it, found a crack in my hull that needs fixing the right way so I think my boats done for the year. Post plenty of pics!

Sorry to hear that...:(

OL40SVX 10-12-2007 01:39 PM

If our boat is all sorted out and I can convince my Mom to not stay up here for parent's weekend since I just saw them 2 weeks in a row, we may be in. It was a blast last year and it seems like this years turn out is going to be even better.

TeamSaris 10-15-2007 06:31 AM

We arent going to be able to make it. Grandma is in the hospital and we are going to see her that weekend.

OL40SVX 10-15-2007 01:26 PM

I believe were in with our Cig, a 28 Skater and a 34 Hustler. Once I get confirmation with these guys I'll post it on Scream and Fly. Where is everyone meeting?? Are there some running over from LI??

Gladhe8er 10-15-2007 01:35 PM

My dad will be in with his 24 Progression/300XS.

Cool...

My Boat is at my house in Ivoryton so I'm thinking to meet the group at the ramp under I-95, say 8:30-9:00am.
It will depend on timing though. If I'm running late, I will launch in Chester at our marina.

I think Pure Energy is coming from Green Port.

Pure Energy 10-15-2007 09:29 PM

Not sure what my plans are. Hurt my knee pretty bad on Sat. Had to miss the brunch run, was not happy. Now the wife doesn't want me in the boat, plus my 3 yr old has been bouncing a fever between 99-103.5.

Pat, how far is the ramp you use from northern NJ if I decide to trailer?

z.zuperboat 10-16-2007 06:01 AM

PE The trip has to be at least 2.5 hrs one way ! I went one year and my son was sick ! I didnt enjoy the run , he was on my mind the entire time. Sound like 3 strikes to me and your out to me. 2.5 hrs, Knee, sick kid ! Theirs always next year ! Or a rain date !!!!!!

Let's hope your little girl gets better soon regardless of the Run.
As for your knee, I don't think you'll get knocked around much during this ride.
Zup is right, you're 2.5 hours away. From Old Saybrook to the NY broader is about 90min. It takes me 2 hours to get to Yankee Stadium. There will be a good number of people coming from NJ, LI, and Upstate to this Run. I’m quite sure if you go on Scream and Fly, you could convoy with others…

Pat McPherson 10-16-2007 07:44 AM

The Zuperboat will be missed this year.

Hey all , just to let you know that there was one mishap / accident down by Hamburg Cove around 4:00pm A 24' Superboat from Chester hit a wave from a larger boat and went up in the air and down hard on the stern causing the nose to stuff into another wake.

From what I heard from my buddy who was running along side of him was that the deck separated from the hull and came back at the driver and passenger.

Passenger lost a tooth / teeth , both went to clinic and one shipped off to the hospital.

Both generally ok but boat is bad.

This is all 3rd hand info so please don't get mad if something is incorrect.

Glad nothing worst happened and we all wish them a speedy recovery.

*PAT . Hope your O.K. !!! Call me please. (PM thru S&F).Gene

Superbabi 10-21-2007 08:04 AM

Pat, Marcy and I hope all is ok with you guys ???

Sonic30ss 10-21-2007 08:21 AM

I saw a white Superboat at 3:30-4:00 idling past my marina in Deep River, I'm assuming he was headed back to Chester...it sure looked like him, white super with the flags on the bow and two in the cockpit...Damn I hope it was him

Pat McPherson 10-21-2007 11:33 AM

Yes, I stuffed the boat into a large powerboat wave going faster than I should have been going.
The deck separated from the hull and folded back on top of us.
My buddy Bobby hit is mouth on the dash, broke a tooth and cut his bottom lip and chin. I got a bump on the head. We were real lucky not to have been hurt worse.
Peter (Madison on OSO) and Anthony (T-Mone on OSO) came to our assistance within minutes as I beached the boat.
Peter brought Bobby to the Deep River town dock where his wife picked him up to go get stitches in the chin and check out the tooth.
Anthony rigged my throttle cable with some duct tape so I could motor the boat back in.
All is OK, and I thank God for that fact; the boat can be replaced.

lightspeed 10-21-2007 11:36 AM

Sorry To Here This Pat ,,Glad You Guys Are Ok ,Yes The Boat Can Be Replaced People Cant,,,,Anything I Can Do Let Me Know,,,,,
