I have used this speed prediction link before and it seems to be quite accurate...
http://www.go-fast.com/boat_speed_predictions.htm
It would seem that the new Y2K-FX hull negates the extra drag of a Konrad vs. a Bravo...
Both Faster and MGD run 92-94mph with engines that have dyno'd around 800HP...
Plugging in 4500lbs, 92mph, and 750pshp, the formula spits out a constant of 225. Using the numbers from my 24' Super, I get the same 225, go figure...
So you want to go 100mph Gary?
With the older Y2K hull and a Bravo or the newer hull and a Konrad, you'd need about 890pshp.
I would venture to say that Don's JC Perf 825 engine makes a bit more than 825HP, probably more like 900.
Now from what I've read and been told, a Konrad drive is a lot more like the old TRS than a Speed master.
The Merc Racing #6 is a totally different animal so let's here it from the guys with experience with them.
JC Perf., MDG, Lightspeed, FX, what's it going to take?
My guess is that you are right on with your 1000HP...
