Any idea what it would cost to fabricate and have installed new cushions in a Y2k cabin? This would include the V berth as well as the cushions for the bench on each side of the cabin(seat and back).

If you get the boat, make a templet using any heavy weight paper you can get your hands on, then take it to a foam / upholstrey shop. You can probably get it done for about $750.

Thanks, will keep that in mind. I have a trip planned this weekend to head down to MD to check out the boat that MDG has for sale. I don't have the money for the big power he has in it (800 HP) or the Konrad, but he'd be willing to maybe work with me on putting an ITS w/XR and a 500/525 EFI (all used/rebuilt). Anyone have any thoughts on this? Can we swap out the Konrad for the ITS/XR...will the height of the drive be any different, to the point where it might effect the handling. Dave at MDG (good guy to deal with) is willing to get it right for me, but I would like to go in there informed. Any thoughts you guys might be able to share would be helpful. I know there are a couple ITS/XR w/525 boats out there...what kind of prop are you using and how it is working?

Freind of mine did a XR to a Konrad on a 32 Sunsation and the boat handles a bout the same.

Already spoke to him....might be a little out of my price range. I still have time to save up a couple of bucks though, so we'll see.

After the ride I took at MDG, I happen to agree. We were cruising at 80+ in a pretty good chop and the hull never felt loose....it held it's line, never came out of the water and was just an all around awesome ride. I was very impressed.

Still looking....I checked out a 28 Pantera this past weekend, but I'm looking at a 29 Kryptonite this weekend. Want to look at everything before I pull the trigger....

Haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet. Still have a few boats that I would like to check out. The Y2K was towards the upper end of my price range, but it's still a contender.
