additionally, if you ever need the Superboat logo for stitching vinyl like bolsters or the bench in the back, or the vinyl on your engine hatch, PPI in Florida has the art work for that

keep the pics comin' on the changes/additions you'll make.

Thanks very much for the advice Rick, I really appreciate it! Glad to know that it's not screwed down somewhere. I didn't want to hack the tank apart, but since I didn't know what might be lurking beneath, it was the safe play.

So basically, after cutting the wood back to the stringers and getting as much foam out as I can, I should make a little "bridge" over the tank, as compact as possible for maximum strength, and jack away. I like it! If I need to, I might try and work a bandsaw blade underneath the tank and cut along the bottom to separate it from the foam.

Thanks again, and I'll let you know how it goes.

Lightspeed,

Yep, that's your old boat! I bought it off the lady who survived her husband. He was a young guy who really loved that boat, and it was a difficult purchase due to the situation (and of course, more difficult for her to sell it). Really nice lady though.

I sold the motor, and I think the buyer put it on an Allison or a Hydrostream.

I always wondered where it came from, so excited to find this out. Were you the original owner? Did it have grey upholstery? What motor was on it before the 225x? So many questions!

That's right, he had the stereo system installed, and the cockpit was redone in white upholstery with red and black. He powder coated all the seat supports white as well.

Here's my favourite shot that really shows off the white, red & black of the interior!!

Ok, this one is alright too:

Whilst I was rigging the 300 HPDI on it, I also put in a new stereo head unit, 6ch amp, a second pair of component speakers, all new Livorsi gauges and a GPSMap 640 chartplotter.

You can sort of see the extra speakers and gauges in these shots (in a lock and a huge marine railway lift along the Trent-Severn waterway):

The best I got with the 225x was 65mph. It's most likely due to the motor not in peak form having some broken reed petals. The water was farile calm and the boat had stuff in it, so I never really gave it a good chance. With the 300 it runs 76. I'm going to see if I can top that this weekend before I take it out for the winter.
