Gary, nothing yet with respect to the new boat front.
just enjoying the talks to the local builders.
I started a thread in Scarab. Check it out. It's a conversion job from a racer Scarab to a pleasure one...all done by Arnaldo and crew at Predator Powerboats http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...arab_38-a.html
how is the Spectre comin' along?
show us your new Spectre thread

Interesting tidbit, as I was in search of a warm place to store/work on my boat this winter...
A guy that I met this summer who had a 32' Fountain, who was with a group of friends with a 27' and a 38', just bought a 35' that has twin 850's / xr imco's/ blower shop / all the good stuff. A fast boat that runs 105mph at full boost.
He's hoping I get my 34 done in time so that we can run around together next summer. What's cool is that although he's a fountain guy through-and-through, he knows full well that he can't hang with me when it gets into the big waves. He said, "I'm more of a flat water boat. I can't run anywhere near your Super when it gets real rough. If anyone says 'well Dave's gone running out there' I'll tell them to not even bother".
It's just nice to see that he understands the capabilities of the Super (not everybody does) and also reinforces my belief that this boat will absolutely rock!! Having just come back from a trip to Hawaii and seeing big waves everywhere, I can't wait!!!

Sure Noli. I've got hundreds of them. Here's a sample of pics from our trip on Maui and Kauai:

Halloween in Lahaina! Huge street party full of thousands of costumed folks. Captain T-Pain here (note my "I'm on a Boat" t-shirt) and his hottie first mate.

At the hotel with Lanai on the horizon

Mmmm, Lava Flow!

Just Mmmm!!!

Mt. Haleakala crater. Wow!

My cool new ride

Will be even more true when I get my big-ass boat up and running

Monk seal takin' a break

My Scuba partner!

Last day, just chillin'
The roads to Hana, Haleakala, and Kahakuloa were so twisty and fun to drive on, and the scenery was incredible everywhere we went. Spectacular trip!

Happy 2012 all!!! Noli, I hope you had a great Christmas!
Haven't been active fhere or a while, but thought I'd post a picture of a few inches of Canadian snow that fell on the 34. Maybe I'll name her "Snow White"! Please, no seven dwarf's jokes.

My buddy promptly got the shrink wrap out after this and we put it away safely and worry free for the winter. I wasn't able to find affordable shop acommodations to work on it through the winter, so it's resting now until the spring time.
I have made some progress in acquiring a few items for it, like a second 300 HPDI, Latham steering, and a Garmin Nav. My plan is to acquire as much of the items I need in order to start rigging like mad when the weather gets better.
Cheers,
Dave
