Stringers:

noli 09-29-2009 03:32 PM

wow...I can't wait to see the stringers installed and glassed over...really nice!!!

will there be transom knees? This would be the time to ask for them before the glassing-over of the stringers begins :)

I missed that request myself. :grinser010:

wait...I think that transom knees cannot be installed because the 30CC flooring will be right up against the lower part of the water well...I think.

That is one of the things we are trying to figure out, those stringers come up pretty high, so effectively acting like partial knees at a minimum

noli 09-30-2009 12:29 PM

that's exactly what I'm saying :), the stringers are soo tall that there won't be any room for additional knees and there won't be any need for them.

It looks like the final coating of glass is being laid on?

Awesome pics !!!

I luv SBTV.

One of the best parts of this is getting the updates every day. I talked to Rick this morning and was telling him I was excited to see the transom....five minutes later, I had 5 pics on my cell phone.

Rick....you da man:coolcowboy:

Superbabi 10-03-2009 01:20 PM

With this ugly Sat. I thought Rick would be broadcasting live Superboat Land TV Photo builds !!!!

elvisali 10-03-2009 06:17 PM

Aquamarine had the 30 CC at the Tobay boat show today, boat looked great. Weather wound up holding out, no big rain

Tobay was slow overall though, much smaller then usual

Superbabi 10-05-2009 04:19 PM

So I guess Uncle Rick took the day.................. I want my Superboat TV.:grinser010:

noli 10-05-2009 07:08 PM

"I want my MTV" is so yesteryear.

the transom about to be glassed in

I had decided to go with a small splash well type set up as opposed to a full transom. The transom was cut assuming motors would be mounted directly to the transom.

This required a height increase of about 2-3 inches above were the lowest part of the transom was on the current models built, (assuming a 20'' mid section on the motors).

JC also decided not to have a notch in the transom, just flat straight across. So in effect, you have as close to a full transom as you can, but still can mount engines directly to the transom if you want, or jack them back if you want, so best of both worlds I guess

The last picture is what the current transom cut out looks like on the current existing model, so imagine it coming up about 3 inches from the bottom part of the notch (that notch is like 6 inches in total)

Superbabi 10-06-2009 02:13 PM

Good idea with the higher transom, coens boat sits very low to the water.
