Just curious you gonna be able to grab the sticks comfortably in the idle position? they look like thery're just about touching the seat arm rest... |

The seat is going to be moved back about 1-2 inches, it is only screwed down with two screws right now, will give me more room for throttle at idle and a little more room to stretch the legs |
...in addition to moving the seats back, can the center console be moved forward also?
It might give you a total space of about 3 to 4 inches. |
...another option would be to just return the current Livorsi controls and exchange for the new short throw controls...

...a third option would be to adjust the seats themselves.
Bring back to upholstery guys and shave off a small section of the stbd and port seats. This would mean doing the following: 1. remove the upholstery 2. cut the fiberglass seats 3. return upholstery following the new contours of the seats look at the black line in the pic... |
All definitly options, but moving it back the two inches probably the easiest (JX and Rick didnt 'lock it down' for that exact reason). Moving console forward would mean drilling a bunch of new holes which I would prefer not to do
Moving them back will also work well because the way JC/Rick set it up, your hand lays nice and easy on the side of the seat and you can throttle without wearing out your arm Noli- did you get that throttle for the 34'? That looks like a nice piece |
no I didn't get these. was too late.
Steve had already installed the controls in by the time I found out about these. cool lookin' though huh? |
