Yes! :)

Only during those times when Tony and crew will be dialing her in. Otherwise the 34 will be parked in the For-Sale lot at Ocean.

Definitely Sean! I will give you a call.

Would love to have you in the 34 during testing. Please note that there won't be any seats yet. She will go back to the SB factory for upholstery after the rigging is complete. I wanted Steve to have all of the space that he can have during the rigging.

A good day at accurate yesterday....

First some shots of the new vessel sleeping in the corner
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4498.jpg

Deciding on were the key switches will go...

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4504.jpg

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4502.jpg

Kill switch placement, there will be a kill switch for passenger and driver

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4501.jpg

GPS positioning....

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4506.jpg

The original idea for placement of gauges (going with two water pressure, two water temp and one gas) was going to be to the right of the gps with angled bezels towards the driver

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4508.jpg

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4509.jpg

Then we layed the template for the vessel view...

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4510.jpg

And then we realized...hey, maybe enough room for 4 of the give gauges next to the vessel view..

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4512.jpg

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4511.jpg

But we didnt get a real feel for it with the angled bezels, so George grabbed some flat bezels lying around the shop...

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4513.jpg

Next..kicking around some ideas for placement of the radio remote...

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4514.jpg

The dash layout with tape

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4515.jpg

elvisali 03-14-2010 06:24 PM

Then we swung around to the front side of the console....

We decided pretty quickly that the batteries and oil tanks will go in the console..plenty of room, and this will leave the back hatch are open for some storage, maybe the secondary anchor and some lines

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4520.jpg

A variation we played with....

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4519.jpg

We finally decided on oil tanks in the front (this way I am not spilling oil on batteries when I fill them), then batteries behind (still deciding on two batteries, or going with three batteries..one cranking for each engine and a house battery-leaning in this direction)

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4521.jpg

The stereo will be mounted into the bulkhead, and controlled via the remote on the dash, so no big cutout for the stereo in he dash itself....

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4522.jpg

The ipod receiver will be mounted above the radio....

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4524.jpg

The battery switches will be mounted above the radio...we kicked around having them under the dash for easy access, but then George pointed out it might be good to have them under the console, so you have to open the console to turn them on...which means you can take a quick peak at your oil levels as well...just one of those little things that makes sure you dont do anything dumb.
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...i/IMG_4525.jpg

And in another two weeks or so...they start cutting holes. The next decesion is ....stainless steel plate on the back or no stainless steel plate..I am leaning for the plate

Rigging is starting out awesome!!!

I like the iPod. Should be a standard on all fun toys.

BMW has made it an option in all their cars.

What?... No crapper in the helm...:lolhit:... only kidding. I know, thats what the motor well is for...I think moving the seat back should do the trick. On my seats I use every inch of the arm rest and the some

Coen had a 21' CC I/O in the shop a little while ago, nice rig...had a porta potti in the helm(thing had a draw curtain that came down when y ou raised the console hatch) and a kicker motor stowed in the engine compartment.....I think the guy should have asked coen to build him a houseboat :)
