Hey everyone -
Met with JC yesterday, and decided to buy a new 30' CC.
John took me out for a test drive and boat just handles great. Hops up on plane, maintains plane at low speeds, feels comfortable in the 55+ range. Afterwards, went by the shop, met with Rick, they walked me though how they build them, timing, what materials, etc...just overall real fun experience.
Btw...Rick and John should have their own reality show, would blow away anything out there right now!
Now the first big decesion is....keep it all white or add some color. Anyone got any thoughts? I really cant decide. one minute I think the all white will be maintenance free, but some color (probably the stripping around the outside of the sidesl, kind of like what bash has) would spruce it up a little. If I go color, basically narrowed it down to a black/red combo, blue/yellow combo, or yellow/black combo.
JC and the wife seemed to like the bue/yellow combo, I am really on the fence...so any thoughts, or other suggestions, please chime in!
Thanks,
Sean

John and Rick are characters for sure. I’m sure building a boat with them will be a unique experience.
All white would be the way I’d go. You can add vinyl graphic at any time and if you want to make a change it will be easy.

All white and maybe add some vinyl later on is definitly in the lead right now, just figure it gives me more flexibility, doesnt lock me into something that I turn around and hate in two years
As far as power, started brain storming with JC on twins (most likely 250 optis), but a bunch of little things need to be worked out first, so nothing set in stone yet.
At a minimum, already upgraded to a 125 gallon tank for the twin application, thought about the 150 gallon tank, but John said it uses a thicker metal and is much heavier than the 125, I was on the fence when John threw out some decent logic...."unless you are going canyon fishing offshore, is 25 extra gallons and a ton more weight really worth it?"
They should start it this week, so hopefully some pics soon!
