Reason I'm asking is because I got to try out the 26p bravo one that came with my 24.... its a ok all arounder, but definatly not what this boat likes for topend.
I hit 74 even on gps at 5100-5200 rpm drivin the hell outta it. I've seen 77.7 w some left turning a 25p mirage+. Its also not as efficient of a prop as the mirage for me- quite a bit more slip. Its a really strange sensation to go from a mirage to the bravo, you definatly can tell its a stern lifter- hit the throttle and the a$$ end jacks way up! This particular hull likes a bow lifter- its a light layup.
Just wondering what other 24i/o owners have found work for them?

Others will chime in but my best prop was a B1 28 that was labbed and a bit more cup for bow lift. I tried a bunch of other props some were a slight bit faster but had some type of negative.
I think Pat did a ton of prop testing on a 24 and should have a lot of knowledge.

The best prop out of the box/stock is a Merc Revolution 4 but they stop at 25p.
The fastest prop I ran was a labbed by BBlades Mirage plus. Other say the older Mirage nonplus is a fast prop but I never tried one.
I ran for the most part a BBlades labbed for extra bow lift Bravo 1 just like T. A stock B1 is not nearly as good.
Another real good prop is a Hydro P5-X. They are the best in the rough and not that much slower than a B1.
Happy Boating

Well, I never thought about having the b1 worked for more bow lift...
I have a 27p mirage I was going to have worked down to a 25p. I guess that is what worked well on this- the standard 25p mirage. I know I like the way the mirage+ performs- low slip numbers, too.
Does anyone remember what kind of slip numbers they were seeing with the worked b1? If it lifts the bow decent and gives good slip numbers, it might be worth the $ to get it worked.

My old boat ran 75-77 @ 4800-4900rpm with the labbed 28p B1, and with a labbed 27p B+, about 2mph faster.
Remeber a 28p B1 and 27p M+ are about the same pitch.
If you can run a 25p prop and not overrev your engine, I think a 25p Rev 4 is a better investment than labbing a 28p B1. My engine hit the rev limiter or that is the prop I would have run.
Try a Rev 4; it is like having a 4 blade M+. These old school straight Vs like them.

Do you have Eliot's old boat with the 500HP/454mag?
If yes, that boat ran 82 with a 25p Mirage at 5600rpm.
Buy a 25p Rev 4 and she'll run 80 like she's on rails.
My bud T-Mone has a 24' Pantera with a 580+HP/509 and loves the Rev 4.

Or does anyone have a 25p rev 4 they want to trade?

Last time to LC, I ran a 23P Rev 4 prop... this is by far the best all around prop I've run so far.
Runs decent #s and handles great- espically in the rough (guessing because I'm not trimmed up as much) Flies great and lands level. Maybe lost a mph or two, but its well worth it. I saw 75gps with it which I figure is not terrible for a first run loaded up for an overnight and still figuing out where it likes the trim set.
I went from a 25M+ to the 23P Rev 4 because I've read that the Rev 4s acted like a bigger prop than the M+. Worked out good.. maybe gained 100-200rpm, if that. Paid more attention to how it was handling than rpms. 50mph is around 3800-3850rpm.. so at 50mph cruise right around 10% slip.. little more than the M+.
It felt really weird at first.. the boat is pretty much level at speed... just feels really different with the overall lifting prop vs a bow lifter. Takes some getting used to..
Wonder how it'd do on the 21? Pitch is way too small, but it'll work for testing purposes.
