If you considered the M8 860, why the 300's versus the 350 or 400?

SUPERSTITIOUS 03-30-2019 08:35 PM

The weight savings was a consideration over the 400’s . And great torque the300’s are producing. The 860 would double the engine/ drive cost. The 30’s with twins have always run well. The last Y2K with twin 250’s ran 87 out of the box as per JC. I’m contemplating using Bobs machine Double jack on this set up. This time around Instead of using a stainless marine bracket out back John will likely build in-house a custom bracket.

Good luck with your build...it should be awesome. When you were at SB, did you see their new 21 CC (called 207)? Did they finish it ?

Yes I saw it, it’s in process they are not doing much on it at the moment, concentrating on redoing their old raceboat and 2 builds.

Sorry loading out of sequence but you get the idea !! Black is beautiful.

Looks great! Is the bottom going to be black and red?

SUPERSTITIOUS 04-02-2019 11:42 PM

No as I mentioned Dave, the photos loaded out of sequence The last photo was actually the bare mold. The red is actually an Insert he put in the original mold to create the steps You can see the sides masked off prior to spraying the white bottom and trim along the top edge. Then he’ll mask off the white and spray the black hull sides. Next he lays some fiberglass on the inside Which you can see i f you look close on the previous pictures. Next Will be the divencell coring and then another layer of fiberglass. Then the coosa board stringers
