Sean, your mail box is full.
ZZ is right, buy a 26p Bravo I.
I run a 25p Mirage plus or 26p Bravo with the plastic hub.
I believe Dave M. runs the same props with solid hubs.
The rule is 400HP, so you are on the edge. Plastic hubs are $20, so you can buy an extra and keep it on board.
I run with a guy that uses the plastic hub with a 454mag.
Could never use one with the power ZZ has though...:D

How much HP gains do you think the CMIs add? I'm running those on a 454 mag mpi..So if I'm on the cusp I might as well go solid, right? especially if I'm going for more HP in the near future .. The cheapest I saw them was @ $500
BTW, I cleared my mail box - thanx Zup, Pat

My Mirage + is solid but my Bravo 1 has the plastic insert. www.propellersonline.com has good prices. I think I paid around 350-400 for my Bravo 1. I'm not sure if they come in solid hub anymore. There is a metal insert for higher HP. I think the metal costs another $90.

I just called Propellers Online they have the solid hubs , but when I told him I was running the 25 Mirage plus , he told me to go 24 Bravo?? I'm dazed and confuzed!

I can turn a 26 Bravo 5k rpms with 385HP. I don't think a 24 will be enough prop.

Hey Pantera24-650HP,
Did you get out on the water yet?

Dutrasystem 05-13-2004 07:08 AM

I'm gonna order the 26 solid hub when they open... Thanx everyone.

Re: 24P Bravo, too much port roll

Are you buying the boat Too Old has had for sale?

Your 24 Pantera is one of the nicest I have ever seen.
If you can swing it, put an 1999 or newer stock engine in her. Even if it's just a 310HP/7.4, she'll still run 63-65mph, and they can be had for about $3500.
I can say from experience, it is tough to sell a boat you can't take for a ride.
