Mirageman,

The build time on the boat was 12 weeks. John promised 6 weeks when i ordered it because he halready had the deck molded up but 6 weeks turned into 12 real fast.

Pat,

I would love to hook up some time. the CT river and sound is pretty much my weekend hangout. Either put in at East Haddam or Old Saybrook. Yeah I hear ya about stock for 6 years, probably a pipe dream as I have already priced out a whipple charger for it.

tripps,
I'm hoping to be ready May 1st...

sb30,
I keep my boat in Chester, so I'm between your launch sights.
I think Whipple also makes a naturally aspirated kit to boost your engine to 525HP as well as supercharger kits.
I think in the next couple of years, a lot of hop up stuff will come out for the new 496 engines.

More PICS!!!!!!!!
I love it!

Question:
The door to the cabin how does it open? Do you flip it up all over to the deck? How does it work?

Hey Jim, I got the 6.0L gas engine with a 4.10 rear. I would of liked to get the diesel but didn't want to ante up 6K more. The towing power is good but the economy isn't. It's not my daily driver so I'm not that worried about the MPG.

It's going to crack 50°F this weekend. You could have that jet boat out dodging the icebergs.
I know of two jet skiers that are planning to brave the 33°F water tomorrow.
I spent the last three days INSIDE working on remodeling my bathroom. I started this project last year and I really need to get it finished before next year (ya right). I know as soon as the weather breaks into the 70's I wont be able to keep myself inside. I'm pretty pissed at myself because I've had all winter to work inside the house and I did nothing... so I'm paying the price now. Sunday I was so close to hooking up a boat and going for a ride, my better half gave me the "look"... I ended up back in the bathroom. WTF is so important about having four walls and a finished floor in the bathroom anyways???

Did your friends go out on the skis? Damn, I should've just hooked up the little boat and drove off!!!

When do you guys throw your boats in the river for the first time?

Hey SS930,
I just finished reworking our kitchen so I know where you are coming from.
This weekend I hope to start my engine rebuild. The plan is to be ready for the water May 1st!
Last year we hit the water mid April but the crap coming down the river can put a damper on your day...

What do you have cooking for your engine? Is this scheduled maintenance or did it go boom?

I try to stay out of the river early season because of the debris problem. Why don't you head out on LIS during the early season, or do you prefer to stay away from the salt?

My engine did not go boom thankfully, it just needs a little kick in the ass...
I have one of the slowest 24' Superboats around; she tops out at 65-66mph. I am looking for 70.
As for the Sound, the salt does not bother me, but freezing my head off does...
