I believe the 50K Y2K has a set horsepower rating for the factory warranty.

For me personally, I want to go over 80 as cheap as possible, and yet have the reliability. With the wife and kid I will not be going fast very often. But I like the fact that I can opener up over 80 every once and a while. However I don't want to melt any pistons either!

I'm no engine guy but 10:1 compression on aluminum heads scare me. I would like to see the longlasting results of this combo before I put cash down.

Is anyone else getting closer to buying??
I am looking at around September.

I THINK WITH ALUMINAM HEADS YOU CAN UP THE COMPRESION BY ONE POINT AND STILL RUN PUMP GAS.

Anyone pull the trigger?

Hey Jim H.,
Does John have any 30s close to being done?
I may be down in your neck of the woods in a couple of weeks.
Love to come check one out...

Hey Superboaters!! I bought the 2004 21' Legend shown on the Superboat website that shows JC zipping around the bay . I should take delivery in the next week or two. Waiting for the weather to get better. This boat has the 6.2L ,320hp engine. Should be a rocket..John says 75mph. I'll keep my eye out for your bay run in June. Hopefully I'll be able to make it. It Depends what weekend it is on..I know I have a wedding in NJ June 26. If not, maybe another run.

Thanks Superbash..I'm really excited about this boat. I see you're from Amityville.I used to dock my old boat in Lindenhurst. Maybe we can rip it up a bit this summer. I'll be docking in Bayshore so I can have a quicker trip across to Ocean Beach..just closed on a beach house last Monday. looking forward to a great summer. I was thinking of getting a 24' but I opted for the smaller 21' boat because I can moor it for free over at Fire Island if it's not too big...

CECO
Owned 16's and 21's. Fun boats that take a pounding. That 21 I/O is gonna launch mighty nice off the Fire Island ferry wakes! I use the Tanner Park ramp. See you out there.
