Yeah I checked into Diesels when I was playing with the idea of using the marinized version of the duratec. Unless you wanted to go with a multi-speed tranny (like 3+ speed) then you were never going to see 100+ in a single engine application. Too much weight, too much torque, not enough parts that work for this kind of an application..... Yet

I know exactly how you feel... I'm guessing your sold on the 30 so much that your ready to build a better/faster one. I keep thinking once I have this one done I'm going to want something bigger but we'll see.

Rob, the Y2K is really the perfect size boat for all our needs. And to even think another brand 30-32' is not even in my thoughts. I will say if it does happen again ( new Y2K ) I want to get the motor combo just perfect. Some thoughts........twin small staggered small blocks...........one big block ( 900-1000 )............a diesel setup...........turbine ???? A lot of options ??? Also I would like trick out the cockpit to the max. If I was to change brands of boats, for sure I would go with a cat. !!!!!

Hey Gary,
Did you get your new prop yet?
I sent mine out to BBlades for tweaking...

Are you launching this weekend or next?
I'm about three weeks from being ready...

Hello Gary,

Do you launch at Typhoon Marine or is there maintenance in the cards prior to the big splash?

Dan
