The rooster tail comment ( by me ) is talking about using a Surface type drive system on the Y2K, not an XR type drive set up thats trimmed up all the way.

The tails not that high. Its something that cant be avoided when you have 1/2 the blades above the water line.

I saw advertised in Power Boat that the new Teague Platinum XR is rated at 900HP.

Pat, i'm looking at that ad now. Direct bolt on, 900 hp rated, very nice. Will my external steering hook up to the drive ???
