Well Gary,

I''m sure your going to be drooling over these. Sprayed the hull today. We''ll be skinning it out with a layer of 3/4 oz. mat tomorrow. Then the full layup the day after. The ball is rolling now !!
I''ll also get to laying in the additional speaker wires for the cabin.
Check in tomorrow for the skin pics !!!

Went to the shop this morning, but forgot the camera !!
Went back and finally got the pictures of the layup for you. Half the hull was layed up friday, the other side will be done on monday. As you can see on the photo of the rear step, it has a double layup on thoose areas.
I''ll have pictures of the hull after we finish laying it up on monday night.

Good news !! Balsa is done in the bow and the transom is clamped in. I''ll remove the clamps in the am, grind then glass the last 3 plys of glass over it. Then it''s stringer time !!!
As far as "BLUEPRINTING" goes. It's done to remove Any irregularities in the hull, or to achieve a certain attitude with a particular hull. Say you have a hull thats too flighty and can't stay in the water. You would put a slight hook. If your hull doesn''t get enough lift, you can add a Rocker close to the stern, which will give you lift. Or you can just have your bottom blueprinted true, or flat as glass.
A perfect example was "Freeze Frame", a 30' Superboat, Tempest model. Some of you guys might remember that one. As soon as it was popped out of the mold, we clamped it back in and flipped it over. Then a rocker was added. That boat did almost 80mph with a pair of stock 200 mercs, 8 mph faster then a regular hull. Granted it was alittle lighter.But you could tell the attitude of the hull wasn''t like a regular hull. It aired out like a mother F*@%*r !!

Blueprinting isn't cheap.

Lets get the boat built before we start talking about blueprinting.
As I told you, I balsa cored the bow section, installed the transom and did the balsa down the center. I also stayed an extra hour tonight to get your stringers cutout for tomorrow. Hope you like the pictures.

John came in and told me we're going to Blueprint your bottom. I'm glad you went for it. Every little bit helps. I think we can get at least a couple of MPH out of it. John and I were discussing a game plan on what we think would be best.
