0h-zone, Sorry I Wanted To Get Back To You. Superbabi Will Get 525 With Xr Drive. John Is Thinking 4 Or 5 Blade Lab Finished Merc Prop. Merc Has Great Working Relationship With O E M BOAT BUILDERS... I Was Thinking New 6 Blade ( To Much Stern Lift ) So 4 Or 5 Blade. Perhaps We Will Order 1 Of Each And See Where We Go For Max Top End. Gary

My thoughts on dealing with Merc on props (f--- them).Since Dennis has passed god rest his sole and Bret is gone I have had no luck with them.Myself would deal with MAT or JULIE at THROTTLE UP.The Activators on long island going over 100 are running 6 blade herrings.Jcaps favorite I believe is a 5 blade from Throttle Up. I believe they have an exchange program for testing props.My bravo had a stock lab job from merc and lost mph across the board.Then sent it back twice and finally ran 2 mph faster than a stock out of the box wheel.

I also had good results with Darin at Houston Propeller. He did what two others could not...
Darin made my Bravo I prop give me the same top speed of my Mirage with all of the benefits of the 4 vs. 3 blade.
The three blade has not gone back on, and probably never will.
I would also suggest testing with stock props before labbing.
"Lab Finished" props are twice the $$ and don't always make your boat go faster.

John Jr ran a labbed bravo 28, I need to check what rpms he was running at. He also had a sportmaster grearcase on it and ran low 80's. He said it was faster with the stock lower unit though.

Hey Guys, Now I'm Getting All The Feedback, I Didn't Think The Prop Game Would Be Easy. I All Ready Spoke To.mat & Julie, There Great. Johns Point Was Only That I Could Save Money On Merc. Because Of His Deal. I Will Have This Y2k All Dialed In While It Is At Long Island. I Do Not Want To Spend All Summer Playing With Props...gary

That is a very wise idea.A prop can make or break the boat.It is by far the cheapest speed you will ever get.

Zz, I Want To Dial In One Time With The Prop. I Got Neighbors Across The Lagoon Changing Props All Summer Long.....it Seems They Never Get "it" Right!!!!
