Keith, thank you. With all that has happened my plans for superbabi are somewhat stalled for the moment. But be reasurred weather its my current Y2k or a new build, (Y2k) i do desire to have triple digits. :D

Well thats about 850 HP but then there is weight. Sooooooo probably low 90's. Just a guess though.

Low 90s with twin 496HOs sounds about right. I am not a big fan of twin BB in a Y2K though. Too much weight and you loose the back seat... :rolleyes:

I did like the stagger twin SB idea that did almost happen. Twin 425HP/383s for low 90s or twin Whipple 500HP/6.2MPI for 100mph... :D

Gary, you are a Merc guy, why not a 1075sci and a#6?

If its going to be staggered BB's then you better start talking to the powers that be, into stretching the hull another 2' or kiss the rear bench goodby. The reality is if you want twins and not small blocks then you are using the wrong hull and should be looking at something longer and wider.

Isn't the whole idea to spank the twin engine guys w/ only 1 engine? ;)

I don't know one of us that would leave well enough alone for 6 years... :rolleyes:
Now you have made vary go arguments for Merc Racing power, so if your going to build another Y2K or re-power Babi, 1075sci with a #6.
Only the turbine boat will be faster... :drink:

Pat,
The 21' hull mold is burried in the shed, and there's no room for it in the shop , with the Y2K and 24' molds in there now. So............... Why not make it a 24'. Of course it will be a custom center console, with the Milleniun console and a small cuddy up front. Full transom with a 2' stainless marine setback/swim platform. I'll still have my old 235 on it though. The powerhead hopefully will be shipped to PMC in Florida this weed for rebuilding. I get it back with a 2 year Warranty(I like that word). And of course ...............it's gonna be light ;)

Years back I built and raced 3 lightweight 24's with Jeff Gerardi(Freeze Frame). Took high points East Coast champion with all 3. These 24's went around 66-67 with a 235 Johnson. My center console will be ALOT lighter then those, with the same power, a 235. It's going out to PMC in Florida this week for a complete rebuild. I can't swing 20K right now for a new Merc 250. I get it back with a unconditional 2 year warranty.

LOL .. No Zup, I'm using the center console deck mold with a few mods. Adding a small cuddy up front I have Kate a the 3 girls. Girls=potti :)
