My next boat: Y2k!

Well Pat, Saturday I ran the 28 pitch with five people and all the gear, coolers ect. 75 gals of gas and not really knowing how to drive it yet hit 90 in one attempt at 5700rpm. A little nervous about break in procedure still. On sunday I put on the 32 knowing it's probably too big. I talked my wife into hanging out on the beach for one good pass. Unfortunatly I had some 2-3' cross wakes which gave me some white knuckles. 94 at 51-5200 rpm before I chickened out! Still didn't have the trim set but she was still climbing faster. I don't think the 32 is going to get me up to 6000 rpm so I am going to try a 30. My guess is I'll be a little shy of 100 without all the gear, tools, coolers ect..

Has anyone been tripple digits with a Tempest? If I get close I'm going to have to do some tweeking somewhere. I will say I don't notice any bow attitude problems. She seemed to like almost any trim. I just gotta find the sweet spot.

Rumor has it that the Zuperboat went 100 when first rigged at MRD with a 750. John did confirm. But not for me. My best was 86 2 years ago with the bravo, down from that now with the speedmaster.
