John says June. Im hoping he's true to his word. Things seem running smoothly there at Superboat, certainly beter than in 01 with my last purchase. I got him some $$$ the other day and I've kept my mouth shut but hay I'm overjoyed and had to spill the beans! I prefer to pay for the 525 as opposed to building up a 496, i don't care what anyone says the blue motors are sweet!

The reason I did'nt go with the 525 is insurance. My agent quoted 600 with a 496Ho and 1400 with a 525. Great choice. :D

Rick - still not yet on the 5-blade, Texas finally actually got it's winter and I haven't been out for a while. I expect to try it during the week on Jan 24th if weather allows, fuel tank is near empty......

Regarding the Arneson Drive, I was speaking vwith John today and he's kind of slapping me back into reality whith additional cost and Dialing in and not knowing what we'll end up with. John also feels there may be that issue of not enough bow lift. With the speed limits here on Candlewood Lake and the hour drive to the sound, dialing in can become a long drawn out affair. I want to get in and go. Soooo ITS its gonna be...

OH-ZONE ..hows it going...good luck on your purchase...you will not be let down in any way by the performance of the 525 its setup..my uncle has a 38 top gun TS with a pair of em in it.. i have a ton of seat time in that thing and those motors continue to impress me every time i run em..goood luck.. :D

I'm paying $540./ yr for a '24 with 385HP. I'm with State Farm. I've heard stories of them cancelling and refusing policies but I've never had a problem with them.

I use Progressive with a multi boat discount. The SB with single 496 HO was just LOWERED to $680/yr. That's for bay use and I have no claims and 25+ yrs boating experience.

Im paying $480 for my 24 thru National Marine underwriters. Thats with keeping the boat in my driveway and "lake use" ahem... not open water and top speed of 45mph... couldnt go any faster cause thats the speed on the lake ...right??? :confused:
