Keith,
You can mount them in the cockpit under the rear step area, or you can mount them in the cabin in the bulkhead like in the pic I'm sending. Bash has a molded interior liner, which made his alot easier then yours. Mount the radio in front of RA, behind the grab handle. Make sure the radio has a weatherproof door. Thats where John mounts them. I wish I would've known about the radio. I would have glassed the wires into the deck like Babi's. He has a pair in the cockpit and a pair in the forward bulkhead.

Thanks Rick, Bash -
I saw those speakers mounted on the front bulkhead when I was at SB, but I don't want sound in the cabin, as we simply will not spend any time in there with Texas heat! Can I cut similar holes in the cockpit bulkhead in the footwells for subwoofers or speakers? Does the liner along the gunwales have enough integrity to mount speakers and sound ok?

Gary - as for weight, I figure I need to drop about as much weight as the subs will add, so I'm gonna have to get serious about that diet!! LOL

For speed runs I can remove the subs and then the boat will be lighter than produced (because of the sub holes!). Hahahaha

Gotta have some tunes and now I do wish I had asked JC to glass in some wires, but I can run them and hide them down the gunwales. We expect to see mid 70's for the next few days and I'm headed out to go BOATING. Keep up the great work Rick - my glass man comes next Wednesday to do those touch ups from the trailer ding, maybe I can ask him about the egine hatch??

That's the way mine are mounted. I don't know if the 30's liner is the same as the 24. I have (4) 6" round speakers, two in front, two in the back. Sounds OK, I don't think they are the highest quality speakers anyway. I don't listen to the stereo much.

Here's the way mine are mounted. There is only a few inches of depth between the liner and the hull.

Keith,
I'll take a few pics of where you can mount the speakers. It's pretty easy. Stay tuned tomorrow. Remember to trim the balls out of her during trials. And I'm not talking about RA. LOL
