Hey Rick,
Can you build me a flat hatch (without sunpad) for my 24'? Dave M. might want one too... |

Looks good. Handle must be recessed for me. Did we decide not to do billet?

Tom Did You Get Mortorized Hood ?????

Re: Prototype Y2K Single scoop hatch
No. I wanted to save some weight.

Re: Prototype Y2K Single scoop hatch
Just a thought... Faster you could possibly use one of those pop-up mushrooms that youd use for a side fender. Thru bolt it. I'ts small, out of the way, and when you need to open, pop it up and grab at it. When done pop it closed. Dont know if it would be strong enough, only seen them on the web.

Re: Prototype Y2K Single scoop hatch
That's something like I had in mind. I really don't like the toe scrapper hood pins. I could see those scrapping my babies azz. Not good!

Re: Prototype Y2K Single scoop hatch
Donzi makes a beautiful hatch pull and a 1/4 turn latch which I've always admired on the 18 and 22 classics Ive owned Similar to the Hood latches I had on my 70 Mach 1. Come on... your a parts guy you gotta have something up your sleeve!

Re: Prototype Y2K Single scoop hatch
Ya, I'm a prts guy and also have a vintage mustang but I don't have the hood latch's you mentioned. That's a good idea! RICK are you listening? :drink:
