PS its hard to imagine but anyone that has ever run the Point Pleasant race in NJ knows what i am talking about .The straight of water that combines the Hudson River (Verazzino Bridge ),Sandy Hook and the Atlantic Ocean can go from dead flat to 8 footers from the wind changing in an hour.(Guys with 14000lb,41 Apaches get the Hell beat out of them

Tell me about it.

It looks like both 39's from the classifieds that were at Double R have been recently sold. Both had some RED on them. Hmmm.

REDDEATH 07-09-2007 04:48 PM

I dont know if they were sold or just taken off the market (to look like they were sold only to be put back on in a short time )Interestling enough the LS Scarab i am interested in (marked sold by Double R) is now being brokered exclusively by Earle in Canada)Double R wanted 235 grand for the outboard Sutphen(more than Richie wants for a new one ) .For the six drive boat without engines they wanted 95 grand.God Bless if in this market you can get 95 grand for a 12 year old Sutphen with no power.

PS COMMON SENSE dictates i wait a few more weeks (just about the time the seller is starting to think he or she MAY get stuck with their boat for another winter -another year older )and place an offer under market value= LOW BALL .

REDDEATH 09-05-2007 06:13 PM

Tis the time of year in the northeast.I have been in contact with the broker on the 38 LSMITH.Scarab .The broker wants to move the boat at a very fair price .Picture wise it shows new.Looks like a trip to Canada is in the works in a few weeks.(Guess he doesnot want to sit with this boat all winter, not to mention the boating market sucks)

REDDEATH 09-05-2007 06:26 PM

PS please dont get me wrong i would REALLY LOVE to have a Sutphen(my old 30 was fantastic)but there is absolutely NOTHING available in a 39 staggered with 6 drives at this price .(The 39 in Michigan was over 45 grand more )
