Our 21SSX will have a seperate throttle and shifter box. Although if someone wants one in any model that wouldn't be a problem. That's why we are a custom boat distributor and Rich is a custom boat builder. We aim to please the customer.

looks like a few of us are probably rafting in bridgeport to watch the sights for the glen cove run...any ramp near new haven will do the trick....
glen cove is in western LI...north side..means throggs neck to get there unless you take the ferry:(

The public Housy ramp is in Devon(Stratford/Milford line). There are no docks and the current can be a hassle depending on the tides, so be careful!

I would like to meet up in branford that sounds like it would would be a good run. how long of a run is it from there?

Just got back from Lake champlain. The guys there were very cool and seem to like sutphens alot.

I have pics of our old 30 my 20 and my 26 at lake champlain over there.

I should have you move the 30 pic over here C, since so many people have asked about the boat that got totalled in the past.

I use the Stratford town ramp on the Housy closer to the Sound. The current is so bad sometimes that it swamps the channel buoys. The ramp I use is nice and it has docks, but coming into the ramp can get hairy. You have to jam the boat in there at a good clip and then throw it in reverse. It makes you an expert at docking in a hurry.

Sounds like there should be at least 4-5 boats watching the poker runners come into Bport. Maybe we make a little run together afterwards? There is still a chance that I may actually do the run...

branford has a mild current. it's on a tidal river. one guy can easily launch his or her boat solo, even if the ramp is busy..they seem to yield to performance boats, like surfers in a line up...'course there's always that "one" . been using the ramp for 32 years....dockage is limited, ramp is old, but late september should serve us fine...
the run to BPT is only about 30 min @ 40ish...

So when is the actual glenn cove run?
I searched it and found more dates to this thing than you could imagine.

I never know what the hell I am doing until the day before anyway but it would be nice to know.

Maybe my brother will break out the fountain and make the run down too.

Glen Cove is next Saturday. They leave Glen Cove at noon I believe, so the first boats should start cruising in around 12:30. No idea about Frank Marata.

Is this new 21SS similiar to the 210 you guys were selling a few years ago? About 3 or 4 years ago I came close to purchasing a 210 outboard version with a merc hanging off the back, beautiful boat (white w/ blue accent stripe sitting on an eagle trailer), I still have the sell sheet in pdf format you sent me!

The 21SS is a completely redesigned boat and longer than that model. More sculpted deck, 2 1/2 inches higher which means a deeper cockpit, integrated race fairing and a few more goodies.

I will post some pics of the 21SSX. It is absolutely awesome.

the donzi and the sutphen 20 were always very similar boats.

The raise deck is gonna be a hit I would think since that was one of the few drawbacks I found to my 20.

Any one know how the hulls compare on the two brands?
It would be nice to be able to tell people the differences between the two and of course why the sutphen is SOOOOO much better of a boat.

WTF now I am really bent I got there so late.

First they didnt let us in because we were late( Im always late), then my cell phone got knocked out of the truck and we had to drive all the way back to find it in the parking lot. Now I find out I missed that!

C, just wrap it in aluminum.
My brothers fountian has an aluminum fairing and it looks great.

Makes the boat in my opinion.

The best part is its easy to remove if you want to go back to the windshield look.

I think it looks cool too and it doesnt add a whole lot of weight to the boat which is cool.
