Yea it was called deputy dawg out of LI.

Taken her out twice so far and I'm amazed how it handles a 2-3 chop. Never been on a boat so dry, never even saw spray on the bow.
Dont feel bad that drain hole area is a BIOTCH to get prepped right for paint. Lots of oily water drained from that area in the past I would imagine and its a tough spot to prep to start.

I was actually going to tell you they used awlgrip but you already know.

I hear it repairs and blends pretty well though so that helps.
It looks like its only cosmetic crap so who cares.

I just couldnt tell if thats what it was or if something was just stuck on the hull.

The CT river can make a boat look like that in 15 minutes.LOL

The boat looks great and runs great now, so you should have lots of fun with it this year.

anyone going out this saturday? I havent checked the weather yet.

The boat runs around 55 at 4100 rpm. I'm thinking of giving bblades a call and trying a sent of their loaners. Has anyone used them before? Currently it has a set of 23 cleavers. Any suggestions of what to try? I want to be turning around 4600 WOT. Does that seem right for the merctrans/trs setup?

Anyone going out this weekend? Probably make a ctriver run sat.

C what pitch props should he run? you have the same set up dont you?

I think I have cupped 26's on mine but its a OB boat.
Its probably totally different from a prop standpoint.

i have revo 23's turning in on 1.5 cr alphas and stock 1987 350 mags...thru hull, but not performance..., i tried 21 3 blades in and out and the revo 23's out, too...in works great for the cruise speed...45-48 at 3300ish rpm...i've seen 68+ on gps, but i think the props dropped to 22's so they can spin looser, and some good exhaust might let me go a solid, safe, comfortable 72+. i'd like that.

mako...what reduction/ratios do you have....w 1.5, i'd try 21 revolutions turning in...guilford boatyards has a loaner program...i think the 23's would be too big with the drag of the trannies...depending on what hp do you think you have....?

btw, it took me 2 years research to pick my props...and i'm 99% content...tried none other than the 2 pr i own.

call me for a good,detailed discussion...203 687 6688

c

btw you sutties...going to be out on the river up near haddam after noon on sat..lunch at harbor park, maybe
