Pleasure Seeker was owned by a guy out jersey that I worked on his Hydroplanes in the mid 90's.
The boat sat at Bobby Moores Custom Marine on thunderboat row for years ,Bobby then sent accross the street to fort Apache and had it put in a rack & stack.
It had #4's on Boxes if I recall ( I was down there in like 1995) .One day my friend Peter P. called and said that Bobby said I could have it , if I paid the storage fee at Fort Apache, but all I had to do was get the Guy (Roger) to call Bobby and tell him That i could have it. Well the Man had not spoken to Bobby for years and basicly abandond his boat at Custom Marine and would not call him. The boat was sold at auction when the tore down fort apache. I would have loved to have gotten the boat

The Race 26 Was A Different Story. It Was Built As A Race Boat For The Lamore Brothers. Unfortunately, They Did Not Tell Their Father. The Boat Sat For A Few Years Before The Father Allowed Them To Race It. Mastry And Allweis[chris Sutphen Is Not His Biggest Fan] OWNED THE BOAT FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR. I BOUGHT FROM THEM. IT WOULD RUN GREAT TO ABOUT 82 MPH AND THEN GET OUT OF CONTROL. Rich Sutphen ,myself Worked On It As F-1 Boat TRying To Get It To Handle With An Extention Box But To No Avail. We Took The Box Off And With Pete Noppers Engine , The Boat Handles Like A Dream.

So the pleasure version of the 26 ran better than the race version? I always thought all 26s were supposed to be a little rough in the handling department.

I guess the better the driver the better they handle.
I am still working on mastering my boat with the OB's its a whole different animal than our old 30. It doesnt plow thru as much but likes to jump and and over.

Its definatley fun.

I had the pleasure of participating in a poker run in Ernie's 26 "Boxer" and I can tell you that it handled awesome. Ran through some BIG water and was fast and stable. Ernie's a great guy, really knows his stuff.
