Tsunami # 1 & 2
Tuunami #1 was a 1988 33' race hull that was called Endangered Species. At one time it had Arneson drives. We rigged it with #4's on boxes.
Tsunami #2 (built in 1994)was originally rigged with the same #4's and boxes that were on hull #1. We converted it to Factory 2 in 99 or 2000.
We finished rigging the boat at 2am at Sutphens shop, The rear hatch was still warm to touch as it had just been pulled from the mold. We got a few hours sleep and towed it to St. Cloud for its first race. We sea trialed it for 10 minutes, raced it and won the race. The boat was all white, it only had our race #'s, Sutphen decals and Canadian flags. There was a photo of it from that race on Sutphen's old web site, but I have not seen that pic in a few years.

The 26 Boxer was originally Innovation's 26? Where are Tsunami #1 and #2 today? I'm thinking #1 is Learning To Fly and is in the Mid West and #2 up in CT?

I have the Boxer II boat, was Innovation and I think Mastry engine center, then Ernie raced it in the early 2000s in factory 1, F1-50.Its built like a brick chit house, hit it w/ your fist and its like hitting a cement wall.

26 ft SUTPHENS
The Pleasure/race Boat That Ran P-4 From 1998 To 2002 Was Built As A Pleasure Boat. I Kept Putting More Power To It And It Kept Running Faster. We Won 9 Races With The Boat And A National Championship. We Went To 2 Worlds With The Boat But Never Raced.[hurricane Plus Problems With Allweis] The Boat Handled Like It Was On Rails.
The Race 26 Was A Different Story. It Was Built As A Race Boat For The Lamore Brothers. Unfortunately, They Did Not Tell Their Father. The Boat Sat For A Few Years Before The Father Allowed Them To Race It. Mastry And Allweis[chris Sutphen Is Not His Biggest Fan] OWNED THE BOAT FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR. I BOUGHT FROM THEM. IT WOULD RUN GREAT TO ABOUT 82 MPH AND THEN GET OUT OF CONTROL. Rich Sutphen ,myself Worked On It As F-1 Boat TRying To Get It To Handle With An Extention Box But To No Avail. We Took The Box Off And With Pete Noppers Engine , The Boat Handles Like A Dream.
