I just made the deal today I will be bringing it home soon I am thinking about running my V8 Johnson on it and was looking for set up info I went for a ride in it with a 225 OMC bolted right on the transom it ran a very flat 55 I was thinking of about 9" setback what do you think! Thanks

Congrats wetvette: the Sutphen is a great hull, I don't know too much about outboard set-ups but I would think a Land and Sea or CMC jack plate would work well also. Mine goes a perfectly stable 74 but I also have 18" K-planes. I have an old Powerboating article about the hull, the test boat has an I/O, it will give you an idea of what she's made of anyway. If you want to read it e-mail me your fax # and I'll send it to you. Also, a friend of mine has an Evinrude/Johnson shop, if you want I could pick his brain about the set-back, let me know and good luck with the new rig, you're gonna love it....Matt
