Default Konrad 540prs drives on 34 Sutphen

I just purchased a nice used, complete setup for my outrageous. Curious to know if anyone else has done the same conversion and if so what were the results. Any gain in mph or handling? Drives are shorter than trs they are replacing so I'm expecting a few mph gain. I'm running two 575hp 509s. Any input would be great. Thanks.

They probably won't work for you. I heard they really only work well on 31 Sutphens - you should probably give them to me and avoid the headache. Always happy to help a fellow boater out.

Richie told me to stay away from Conrad’s that’s why I did the bravo conversion.

242ls are you pulling my leg ?? Shaun I met you briefly last year at noppers poker run before we left Early. You had mentioned that you swapped to Bravo's on your outragous and had the x dimension if I ever needed it. For what reason are the Konrad's no good? I considered a bravo swap but the way I blow the trs lowers Pete Nopper said the Konrad's were much stronger than a bravo and the better choice. Don't want to do the swap and regret it.

with your power the Konrads are a great choice, and yes stronger than a B-1..........why do a plug and recut on the transom for a B-1 when you dont have to.

I’ve only seen them on a 39, and I don’t believe it’s been in the water with them. I have no personal experience but Richie told everyone to stay away from the konrads, and that they didn’t handle well on the sutphens.

Well honestly I'm tired of blowing up trs drives, and the cost of XRs and all the other work involved to gain minimal reliability seems hardly worth it. No doubt I'm sure they are faster, but not when it's sitting broken on the trailer. What would cause them so be so bad on the 34 but work good on the 31?
