Ocean Pacer question
This may sound like a stupid question but how many fuel tanks does a 1986 Ocean Pacer have? I am assuming 1, but there are two fuel caps one on each side of the boat. I am assumi9ng again that this was for ease in filling or am I all wrong. There is only one fuel guage..

Ok,,,,next question
Is there a fuel pump that controls the fuel flow or does it just draw from either side.....or one motor from one side and visa versa......

Non race Sutphen's typically have a fuel fill on each side with one tank under the cockpit. Tank typically runs from the engine compartment bulkhead and goes forward, in the keel area of hull. Two fills make it nice when filling, use one as a vent and you can pour the fuel in quick!

Hey Sink or Swim
I own a "pleasure version" of the 30' Sutphen an 83 and the info your getting is 100%. It is one 150 gallon tank with the fuel fills to each side(look under rear bench seat and you'll find fill hoses, feeds and shut-offs). I mounted two Holley blue pumps on the bulkhead, one for each motor, to help feed the mechanicals on the motors. Might seem like over kill, but feeding a big block revving around 6000rpm takes big, consistant fuel pressure. My experience on this sight with info has been excellent. It seems this Sutphen society sticks together BIG TIME. No matter what the question, you'll get some kind of good info or even just a guiding word. HEY SUTPHEN 30, FOBES, ETC. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS???
